Ottawa has been my home for the past 34 years and as a former student of USD 290 schools and a graduate of Ottawa High School (Class of 1995) I take a great deal of pride in working to provide the greatest of educational opportunities for our students. The central office administrative team strives to expand our educational options provided in our district, provide the greatest of resources for our students, to be innovative in our ideas and programming, and to provide incredible learning spaces not only for our students but for everyone who utilizes our facilities.

The mission of our schools is to ensure that each and every one of our students graduates with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to have life sustaining employment. That task is not solely dependent upon our abilities to provide quality instruction in our schools, but is a multi-faceted plan that includes the engagement of our community and relevant internship opportunities for our students in an effort to build ongoing partnerships for the betterment of both our students and the community as a whole.

It is my goal to continue to elevate the learning experiences our students encounter, to provide a tremendous place for all of our staff to work, to provide spaces for our students and community that envelope a sense of pride and ownership, and ultimately to create a strong community that our students want to continue to be a part of after their graduation experiences.
