Congratulations once again to the OHS Volleyball Team for winning the Sub-State Championship and qualifying for the Quarterfinal Round of the State Tournament this weekend! The Cyclones are now one of eight teams remaining in class 4A. This year the State Tournament format is a little different than in the past. The change was put in place by KSHSAA to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Here are the details you need to know.
Location: The first round of the state tournament is being played at the home site of a sub-state champion. The home site was determined by KSHSAA. Ottawa will be going to Labette County High School to compete in the first round.
Address: 601 High School Ave, Altamont, KS 67330
Time: The match is set for Tuesday, October 27th @ 6:00 pm.
Format: The match will be the best 3 of 5 to determine the winner. If the match goes 5 sets, the 5th set will be to 15 points instead of 25.
Tickets: In order to be admitted into the game, each spectator must have a Quarterfinal Volleyball Entrance Ticket. The coaches will give these to players today at practice. They may distribute these tickets to family, friends, etc. for the game. YOU MUST HAVE ONE OF THESE TICKETS TO ENTER! Please note that this does not get you into the game for free. It just gives you the ability to purchase a ticket at the door. OHS will have the ability to distribute a little over 200 tickets for the event.
Cost: Adults $7 Students $6 ***No passes will be accepted!
COVID Protocols: Every spectator must have a mask to enter and is required to wear the mask throughout the match. Spectators will also be temperature checked before entry. Please social distance by family in the stands during the match.
Livestream Info: Labette County is in the process of setting up a livestream for the match. When it is sent to us, we will share it via our social media platforms.
Good luck ladies! We are proud of you!
