During the 2020-2021 school year, a team of two high school students redesigned the Ottawa High School website using the Apptegy platform. The highest priority was designing a user-friendly site for students and parents to have quick access to commonly used links. After a semester of multiple training calls, administration meetings, sorting and organizing links, and creating pages, the new OHS site went live in May 2021.
Each year, more students join the Web & Digital Communications Project class to become part of the team. These students continue to maintain the site for those in the building and the community. Tasks include creating new content, corresponding with staff, meeting deadlines, and updating pictures, all while keeping in mind the primary goal of managing a student-focused website.
