Our C Team and JV hit the court tonight for a scrimmage, showing off all their hard work and hustle! We appreciate everyone who came out to cheer on our girls and support Whirlwind basketball!

10/28: Whirlwind 8th Grade Girls' Basketball Our JV girls took a strong win tonight, 34–3, and Varsity battled hard for a thrilling 33–32 victory! Great job, Whirlwinds!

10/27: 7th-Grade Whirlwind Girls Basketball What a battle tonight against Paola! JV fought hard, falling 10–16, and Varsity came up just short in a close one, 16–18. Proud of the hustle, and teamwork these girls showed on the court tonight.

Whirlwind Weekly Activities: October 27-31

10/23: 8th Grade Girls Basketball Our Whirlwinds brought the heat against Bonner Springs tonight! Our Varsity rolled to a 45–16 win, and JV won with a 34–8 victory. Great job, girls!

10/23: ATTENTION 7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL PARENTS AND FANS

Bonner just reached out to see if our JV team would like to play two quarters tonight, giving our JV girls some extra playing time! Varsity will still play at 4:00 pm, followed by the two additional JV quarters.

We apologize for the late notice; however, we’re excited for the girls to get out on the court!

Our Squeak and Squawk concert tonight was a success! 🎶 The students did a fantastic job showing off what they’ve learned so far — from their first notes to their growing confidence on stage. Great work, everyone!

10/20: 7th Grade GBB vs. Woodland Spring: Our JV girls came out strong tonight with a solid 31–18 win over Ottawa! Great teamwork and energy on the court! Varsity battled hard against Woodland, falling 13–24, but showed grit and determination from start to finish. Proud of the effort from both teams as they continue to grow each game!

7TH-GRADE GAME CHANGE FOR 10/23/25 VS BONNER SPRINGS 8th grade will play as scheduled.

Your generosity and support mean so much and helped make a busy evening enjoyable and delicious. We truly appreciate all you do for our school community! ❤️

What a season it’s been for our OMS Whirlwinds! Our 7th-grade team closed their year against Woodland Spring, battling hard but falling 36–6. Our 8th graders finished strong with a gritty 8–0 win over Baldwin! We’re proud of the growth, effort, and teamwork shown by both groups this season. Way to represent OMS, Whirlwinds!
